It all started back in 1995 for me when I realized the Transportation Industry would be my life long career.

From 1995 – 2003 I traveled the country working with a Blimp Company. I worked on many accounts from MetLife, Blockbuster, Fido, Sanyo, Budweiser, Goodyear South America and many more. I was fortunate to see most of the United States and travel to other countries like Canada, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.

The Blimp business started to slow down, in 2003, so I received my CDL license and became a long haul truck driver. Driving the lower 48 was easy, but when I had the opportunity to take a driving job in the heart of Alaska, this is when the experience REALLY started.

During my driving career I learned how to run a few different styles of equipment from Van, Reefers, Tankers, RGN’s, Containers, Flatbed and Stepdecks just to name a few. My driving time came to an end, in 2008, when I had the opportunity to move into the office and become a Dispatcher for a reefer company. This opened the door to new things where I worked in.

Safety for a brief time. When I got the chance to take on a new flatbed department, I found my new niche. I managed this new division and had a great time doing so. I worked with great drivers and customers.

2021 came around and finally landed my dream job of becoming a Freight Broker for Platt & Associates. With all my trucking knowledge this transition to a freight broker has been quite easy and very enjoyable. Not only do I dispatch loads, I have my own customer base that I manage. I am also the assistant to the owner of the company.
